“Little Old Man” I was told this little bird looked like an little old man, I do think so also… lol, this was shot with my 100mm f2.8 macro w/12mm extension tube… I was trying to shoot a spider in a web when this fellow landed just a foot away from me.

the “common daisy” there is something about this shot I love the fact that I was able to capture it just before the the sunlight stole the water back.

the “yellow rose” this is a great view of this ever popular flower, the soft feel and the water droplets add to the romantic nature of this shot.

History

Back in 1975 I had gone to Jamaica, the surrounding were gorgeous… I talked my mom into buying me a camera in the Hilton Hotel gift shop, it was a Kodak 110 pocket. I proceeded to take photos of the landscape, the sights, the peacocks… I got my first taste of shooting back then it was fun and I entered my photo class with Mr. Allen at Forest Lake High School. It wasn’t long before I out grew this small camera, next came my first SLR camera Minolta SRT-101, this is the camera I spent the next couple years getting to know… Thinking I knew alot about photography this was the time to do an upgrade, the Minolta XK, this was a work horse of a camera… Followed by the technology of the time camera the Minolta X-700 I shot a many rolls of film with this body. For a short time I had experimented with medium format system from Maymeia. Skip forward aprox. 15 years I had been out of photography for quite awhile… I got a Olympus C2020, followed by a C1000, then the E10, still not feeling this was the right combo The Canon digital rebel was next on my list, followed by the Canon 10D, 20D and now the 7D

Canon EOS 7D (digital field guide)

By Charlotte K. Lowrie, I have been reading this manual to help understand all the new changes Canon made with the release of the 7D. It has been somewhat “dry” to say the least, no plot or story line… But it is a technology manual, full of useful facts, different ways to appraise the new settings this camera has to offer. The new auto focus has many different settings I want to be able to take advantage of, the new 19 point system has many configurations.

Taco Bell

Now here I am wondering how they can sell this lunch, with drink for two bucks? They must not pay anything for the food… Must cost them less than 50 cents if they are making money on it. Now I ponder things sometimes, and this happens to be one of them.

Beautiful morning, the drive this morning was inspiring I loved the sun just coming up over the trees, the fog was heavy and I sure wished I had my camera with me. The wildlife was waking up and starting to move, the “Great Blue Herein” was especially wonderful. The fog has started to burn off leaving behind a bed of green foliage of every shade.
